The 11th VAST International Symposium on Virtual Reality, Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, promoted by the EUROGRAPHICS Association, will take place at the Ecole du Louvre, Paris, France on the 21-24th September 2010. Previous events were held in St.Julians Malta (VAST2009), Braga Portugal (VAST2008), Brighton UK (VAST2007) and Nicosia Cyprus (VAST2006).  Please note that we'll be meeting at 6:15 in the Radisson Lobby from where we'll be leaving to Valletta for the Welcome Reception. We'll first take a short tour of Valletta after which we'll head off to the Old University Building for the welcome reception. 

On the 22nd Microsoft will be organising a workshop describing the initiatives and work which is currently being carried out by Microsoft Reseach (MSR) in the area of Cultural Heritage. We invite you to attend this 2hr workshop (starting at 2pm) and participate in the discussion which will be held towards the end of the session. We are please to announce the participation of European Commisioner Mr Albert Gauthier during VAST. Mr Gauthier will be delivering a 30-minute presentation discussing the next call for EU projects in digital heritage / ICT. Mr Gauthier's presentation is scheduled for Friday 23rd at 11:40.

Important Note: When submitting your work please note that on EuroGraphics SRM system there exists another conference called VAST which is completely unrelated. When choosing the symposium submission page (from the list of conferences using EG's SRM system) please make sure you choose SRM_VAST09 for full papers and SRM_VAST09SP for short and project papers.
